AIF Young Professionals (AIFYP) of LA
AIFYP (Young Professionals) is the youth wing of AIF, the leading international development organization working toward accelerating social and economic change in India. AIF awards grants for education, livelihood and public health projects in India, especially elementary education, women's empowerment and HIV/AIDS. AIF has raised over $30 million since its inception in 2001.
AIFYP mobilize the younger generations to support the various activities of local AIF chapters. The AIFYP Los Angeles chapter consists of young professionals from all walks of life and students from various universities in Southern California. The members of AIFYP connect with the local community to support the cause of AIF.
The AIFYP group organizes activities targeting young professionals in LA. These activities include social mixers, cultural celebrations, and speaker series, which provide everyone with a common arena to interact and exchange their ideas. The core team of the AIFYP meet every month to plan these activities. The AIFYP also support AIF, by building awareness of AIF and fundraising,
